The 2017 Bahrain International Garden Show carried the slogan "Compact Gardens". It focused on the necessity of using agricultural solutions to utilize small areas in modern homes for gardening. An area of the exhibition was allocated to the theme with a display of realistic street views with houses and buildings with innovative designs showing how to make use of small spaces. Another stand was devoted to the presentation of practical solutions and ideas for the design of small spaces in homes, balconies, roofs, and small outdoor spaces with a focus on highlighting their positive impact in purifying the atmosphere and reducing pollution, in addition to beautifying these spaces through decorative and productive plants that provide some of the food needs of their owners.
