Bahrain Garden Club honours winners of annual competitions

The Bahrain Garden Club celebrated the winners of its annual competitions in a special ceremony.  The event concluded with the honouring of winners across various categories, including best home garden design, most beautiful home-grown plants, environmental recycling projects, flower and vegetable arrangement, and photography.

The ceremony was attended by Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), and Okai Asako, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Shaikha Maram bint Isa commended the active role played by the Bahrain Garden Club in promoting agricultural awareness among members of society.  She emphasised that the Club’s annual competitions serve as an important platform for discovering and encouraging talents in agriculture and environmental beautification, while also contributing to instilling environmental sustainability values across different age groups.

On her part, Zahra Abdul Malik, Chairperson of the Bahrain Garden Club, noted that the competitions are part of the Club’s strategy to raise environmental and agricultural awareness in society and to enhance community participation in green activities.  She highlighted that the Club continually seeks to develop its programmes and initiatives in line with national agricultural and environmental development goals.

She added that the Club’s continued success would not have been possible without ongoing support and constructive partnerships with public and private institutions, as well as the strong commitment of its members and volunteers.
