NIAD Plants Trees At Hoorat Aali Parking Lot

The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) in its second phase of the National Afforestation Campaign (Forever Green) in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture and the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) planted the parking lots of the farmers’ market in Hoarat Aali, with the support of the Broccoli Center.

The trees were planted in the presence of NIAD Secretary General Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, the Assistant Undersecretary for Agriculture Affairs at the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Muhammad Al Araibi, Broccoli Center director Mirza Hussain and several officials.

This contribution comes from the Broccoli center to increase the green area on the site and maintain the environmental balance by providing shade trees in the parking lots.

It also promotes the principle of community partnership to support environmental projects and contribute to achieving the goals of Bahrain Vision 2030, sustainable development and national plans to reach zero neutrality by 2060.
