The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) launched “Forever Green” platform to display sites available for the third phase of the National Campaign for Afforestation, Forever Green, aimed at facilitating the support of the private sector and civil society institutions to contribute in implementing afforestation projects for the public and increase green area in the kingdom.

The platform provides a service for categorising sites available for afforestation, in terms of the number of trees, implementation cost, maintenance period, a recent picture of the site and other information.

Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, NIAD Secretary-General, said that the launch of the platform aimed at assisting those wishing to contribute to the campaign to choose the appropriate site and communicate with NIAD to reserve the site.

She confirmed that making this information available online would facilitate communication and enhance partnerships between the public and private sectors.
